Re: General questions about Marvelmind Indoor Navigation Systems

If the tag is mounted on the fast moving object, but stationary beacons don't experience strong wind or strong wideband noise, then there will be no issues with the wind at all. Speed limitation is currently hard-coded in some filters inside the SW. But, as far as remember, we may simply switch tha...

Re: Could I log the coordinates of the hedgehog using the Dashboard software?

We will insert additional timestamp to log file in next version of software, we plan to publish updated firmware and dashboard in next few days. What kind of timestamp related to system time is more applicable for you: number of milliseconds from midnight, number of milliseconds from january,1 of 1...

Re: Could I log the coordinates of the hedgehog using the Dashboard software?

How do I know how "time from running the dashboard" compares to system time? I want to log the global timestamp of the mobile beacon's position (assume my computer is synced to an NTP server).

Re: Does each beacon need to be able to see all other beacons, or just 3 or so?

1) If your mobile beacon has fixed known height and the mobile beacon doesn't cross the line connecting two stationary beacons, then even two beacons are enough. We even sell the Mini version: http://www.marvelmind.com/pics/marvelmind_indoor_GPS_mini.png So what you're saying is that if I have a ve...

Re: General questions about Marvelmind Indoor Navigation Systems

Hello, The system is manufactured to be used indoor, where environmental conditions are near to the office/plant/factory conditions. Everything beyond that - it is up to your own risk :-) Yes, it can work outdoor very well, when the temperatures are moderate and there is no moisture/rain, etc., sin...

Re: Does each beacon need to be able to see all other beacons, or just 3 or so?

Does each beacon need to be able to see all other beacons, or just 3 or so? No need to see all of them. Each beacon must see at least 3 other beacons when the map is forming to complete the formation. My understanding is that this is required for auto-ranging the beacons. Is there a possibility for...

Re: General questions about Marvelmind Indoor Navigation Systems

Hi, you advertise your system as an "Indoor" system, but one of your videos shows outdoor operation. I am thinking that with ultrasonic there's no reason the system cannot operate outdoors, however I'm concerned about two potential issues: 1. Wind interference 2. Doppler shift at higher sp...
