Cannot upload SW due to broken Microusb Port

Postby t3dkang » Mon Aug 28, 2017 8:07 am

Dear MarvelMind,

One of the beacons came with broken usb port.

Since then you guys have released new SW but
I cannot upload it due to broken port.

I was wondering if it is possible to upload SW using
external interface pinout on HW v4.5?

I also have pictures and videos but I cannot attach
here due to its size.

Sincerely,
t3d

Hello,

I am sorry to hear there is a broken USB.
The easiest way to upload the new SW would be radio interface. You simply select the beacon in the Dashboard and upload the SW over radio. It takes a bit longer, than over USB, but still pretty quick.

Thank you for such a fast response!

I tried to upload it through radio but it is keep saying
"Error during firmware uploading execution"

I tried to put other beacons into a sleep mode and also
tried to turn the DFU mode to "ON" position.

Could you confirm that I am performing right process
in order to upload new SW over radio interface?

Select the beacon >> Firmware >> Choose file >> Next

Best regards,
t3d

Please, share what version you have right now and what version you try to upload.
If you can share print screen, it would be even better.

DFU cannot be done over radio. That - do not try.

Yes, for regular upgrade you are doing correctly.
