Re: Can stationary beacon be used as mobile beacon?
Yes, any Super-Beacon can be made stationary or mobile simply by selecting a mode in the Dashboard. It takes 1 second.

Re: Noisy raw distance measurement with Omni-Microphone
There could be different sources. More input is required. First suspects: - Specific noise on specific frequencies: luminescent lamps, DC-DC converters, etc. - quiet in the audible spectrum and noisy in ultrasound - Just "bad luck" - simply retest and see ;-) I would rebuild the system, change the b...

Re: Pairing super beacons leads to inaccuracy
Hello, thank you for your answer. A few things I should specify: The beacons, stationary and mobile, are super-beacons. Only the modem is HW 4.9. It is possible to use this configuration. But, of course, it is highly advisable to have a newer modem because we stopped adding new features to v4.9 ser...

Re: 1D measurement with Super-Beacons
Hello, 1D is not different from 2D or 3D, simply, instead of 2 or 4 stationary beacons for 2D and 3D respectively, you have only 1 stationary beacon per submap. The same way you are getting the location data as well: - Either from the mobile beacon - Or from the modem No difference from a regular 2D...

Re: IA Pairing loses position
The answer consists of several parts/dimensions. Thus, you shall assess your problems and solve it from several dimensions as well. 1) Do it in small steps Before going to any pairing: - Achieve perfect tracking with a left hedge - Then - with the right hedge. Absolutely independently from the left....

Re: I wonder what caused the 'jump' phenomenon of Hedgehog beacons.
Line of sight is the most important notion of understanding in indoor positioning systems: - https://marvelmind.com/line_of_sight/ - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg3oW_U_jdY&t=1608s Most likely, you have jumps because of non-line of sight. Line of sight may not be as obvious as you may think: - h...

Re: Pairing super beacons leads to inaccuracy
Hello Sander, If you have Beacons HW v4.9, they can work only at their native frequency for both ultrasound transmission and reception. Therefore, if your stationary beacons are 31kHz, your mobile beacons must be 31kHz only. Super-Beacons have digital filters. They could receive 25kHz and 28kHz or 3...

Re: 2 mobile beacon timestamp synchronization
Thanks for your reply. Here are three more questions I would want to know. 1. In MF NIA, will the system automatically schedule the two hedges to emit sound waves at the same time? Any additional settings required compared to pure NIA? 2. Since I put the two hedges on the DJI Drone, so their height...

Re: 2 mobile beacon timestamp synchronization
Hello, Right. In NIA, only one mobile beacon can be served at a time. Since you have Beacons HW v4.9, I assume you use them as stationary beacons as well. In this case, you can use only NIA. With Super-Beacons, it is possible to use MF NIA and emit from both Super-Beacons at the same time because th...

Re: Hedgehog only sends position over USB when not tracking
Hello, My colleague will later comment on ROS, etc. A few comments and recommendations: - Have you achieved perfect tracking in the Dashboard before integration with ROS? - "Multiple seconds" delay between updates can have various reasons. One of the most obvious ones is the lack of tracking due to ...
