Re: Soldering USB wire to modem

I was looking to do that, but original pads are a little too close together for comfort. The solder holes are off course meant for this, so I would prefer to use those. I easily traced the VCC lead back to its hole, but am unable to identify the others. As you can see on the pictures the identifiers...

Soldering USB wire to modem

The micro b USB port broke off my modem. I would like to solder a USB wire to the modem. The lettering on the board are not legible. I have identified the VCC (red) hole, but am unable to identify the Gnd (black) solder hole, Data - (white) and Data + (green) holes. Do you have a schematic or if not...

Re: ArduCopter minimum 6 Satellites required

It works fine with PixHawk. That is what I use. Four beacons about 1 foot above the ground, 3 beacons at 10 feet. Very precise positioning, including Z axis. Still experimenting with PixHawk for tighter positioning keeping.

Re: Powering the Hedgehog

Thank you Maxim,

That worked. It doesn't seem the Pixhawk serial ports have enough power output with the exception of the Telem 1 port that I need for my telemetry. I have connected the Hedgehog data to serial port 4 and supplied the power through a dedicated UBEC. This work great.

Thanks,

Powering the Hedgehog

The Mobile Beacon (Hedgehog) installed on a UAV (Drone). Can the Hedgehog be hard wired to pin 1 (VCC +5V) and pin 6 (GND) of the serial connection for power and eliminate the battery? Or will this disrupt the settings every time the UAV power is cycled?

Thanks,

Rick

Re: ArduCopter minimum 6 Satellites required

That indeed did the trick. Drone is holding good position. Thanks for the quick response.

ArduCopter minimum 6 Satellites required

I have a hard time getting the “GPS” signal of Marvelmind to be accepted in ArduCopter. It works perfectly fine with ArduRover. ArduCopter seems more critical regarding the minimum number of satellites. After arming switch to PosHold, or when GeoFence is enabled, or any other function that requires ...
